1. Ginkgo Changzi category
The seed nucleus is spindle-shaped and oval, generally without a distinction between ventral and dorsal sides. The upper end is three-pure; the lower part is long wedge-shaped. The lateral ridge lines are obvious in the upper part, with only traces visible in the lower part. Varieties include Jinzhuizi, Ganlanguo, Cufozi, Yuanzao Foshou, Jinguo Foshou, Yezibai Guo, Yuchang Zhangzi, Tianmu Changzi, Jiufu Changzi and so on.
2. Ginkgo Fozhi category
The seed nucleus is oval, and the ventral and dorsal sides are mostly inconspicuous. The seed nucleus is wide at the bottom and narrow at the top, with two blunt tips. The lateral ridge lines are obvious, without wing-like edges.
