How to tell real phosphate fertilizer from fake? Here are a few practical methods

1. The role of phosphorus: the swelling element (the main nutrient for swelling of crop roots, stems, leaves and fruits), the energy of cell division. Deficiency symptoms: the most direct manifestation is uneven crop sizes in the field, especially obvious in orchards, and now most field crops also show this, with individual plants showing...
Phosphate fertilizer is a quick-acting fertilizer. At present, there are many methods for identifying real and fake phosphate fertilizer, mainly the following four:
Observe the color and form. The color of standard phosphate fertilizer is grayish white, and its form is powdery. If the color is found to be white or yellow, it may be because the acid treatment was incomplete and the phosphorus content is low. If the phosphate fertilizer is wet and clumped, its quality has also decreased.
Smell the odor. Standard phosphate fertilizer has a slight sour smell. If there is no smell, it means that the amount of sulfuric acid used in the production process was insufficient, the reaction was incomplete, and the effective ingredient content is low.
If the sour smell is too strong, it means the free acid content is too high, the fertilizer efficiency is low, and after use it will also inhibit the activity of soil microorganisms, burn the seedling roots, and may even cause the seeds not to germinate.
Touch it by hand. Generally speaking, the moisture content of standard phosphate fertilizer is 8% to 14%. After touching it by hand, it feels cool, but there is no water mark. If water comes out after squeezing it by hand, it indicates that the moisture content is too high and the quality of the phosphate fertilizer is poor. If it feels like dry soil by hand, it means the acid treatment was not thorough and the available phosphorus content is low.
Sampling and laboratory testing. Through the designated relevant departments, conduct sampling and laboratory testing to determine the effective content, moisture content and free acid content of the phosphate fertilizer, so as to identify real and fake phosphate fertilizer.
