What are the precautions for applying diammonium phosphate?

Phosphorus promotes soybean root growth and is beneficial for the formation of root nodules. When the supply of phosphorus in the soil is insufficient, although soybean rhizobia can invade the roots, they do not form nodules. Molybdenum fertilizer is an essential trace element for nitrogen fixation in root nodules, and when the soil is deficient in phosphorus, applying molybdenum fertilizer alone actually reduces the number of root nodules.       1. Diammonium phosphate must not be mixed with alkaline fertilizers, otherwise it will cause nitrogen volatilization and also reduce the fertilizer efficiency of phosphorus.

      2. For crops that have already been treated with diammonium phosphate, generally only an appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer needs to be supplemented during the middle and late stages of growth, and no additional phosphorus fertilizer is needed.

      3. Except for leguminous crops, most crops require combined application of nitrogen fertilizer when applied directly, to adjust the nitrogen-to-phosphorus ratio.
