How should fertilizer products be selected to be more suitable?
Greenhouse vegetable production is a high-input, high-output production method in a specific environment. Different fertilization methods not only affect the utilization rate of fertilizers, but also affect the economic benefits of production. 1. Fertilizers should be selected according to the characteristics of the soil, crop and growth stage. For example, vegetables, fruit trees and cash crops must be applied with organic fertilizer, and field crops should be applied with organic fertilizer as much as possible; because organic fertilizer needs to be decomposed, it should be prepared in advance. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are mainly used as base fertilizer for field crops, while for fruit trees and vegetables they are used both as base fertilizer and as topdressing. Among them, for acidic soil in the south, cheap phosphorus fertilizers containing calcium, magnesium and sulfur, such as single superphosphate or calcium magnesium phosphate, can be given priority; for calcareous soil in the north, quick-acting phosphorus fertilizers with higher nutrient concentrations, such as diammonium phosphate, or phosphorus-containing chemical fertilizers should be selected. The selection of potassium fertilizer mainly depends on the crop's chloride tolerance. Sugar beet, spinach, rice, wheat, corn and others are not sensitive to chloride, so potassium chloride, which is cheap and high in nutrient content, can be given priority; while chloride-sensitive crops such as tobacco, potatoes and berries, and saline-alkali soil, should use potassium sulfate. The selection of potassium fertilizer also depends on local rainfall or irrigation conditions. In places with abundant rain or irrigation conditions, an appropriate amount of potassium chloride can be applied in the base fertilizer; in dry areas with little rain, areas with salinization, or vegetable greenhouses, potassium sulfate is preferable.
