How should organic fertilizer be applied for best results? Please introduce the methods
Bio-organic compound fertilizers, which combine organic fertilizers with inorganic fertilizers and come with various microorganisms or high-energy compounds, have been launched on the market and are very popular among farmers, with rather obvious effects. First, they can improve soil physical and chemical properties, enhance water and fertilizer retention, and increase sustained fertilizer supply capacity; second, they can significantly suppress diseases such as cotton and melon Fusarium wilt and rice sheath blight, and enhance stress resistance; third, they can improve crop quality, especially in noticeably increasing the sweetness of fruits such as watermelon, sugarcane and strawberry; fourth, they can promote crop yield increases, generally increasing yields by about 10% compared with applying chemical fertilizer alone; fifth, they can reduce agricultural environmental pollution and allow large-scale production of pollution-free food.
Although bio-organic compound fertilizers have many notable advantages, their market share is still relatively limited, and application situations vary greatly from place to place. The main reasons: some places report that the selling price is on the high side and farmers find it hard to afford; some report that the fertilizer effect starts relatively slowly and the visible effect on crops is weak; some farmers who grow vegetables in plastic greenhouses report seedling burn. Why do these problems occur? First, the price of raw materials selected for producing the fertilizer is too high, and there are too many intermediate sales links, with price increases added layer by layer; second, bio-organic compound fertilizer is applied alone, ignoring the role of other fertilizers, or the application rate is too low; third, soil moisture is insufficient at the time of application, or the temperature is too low at that time; fourth, the single application rate is too large. In response, in order to give full play to the fertilizer effect of bio-organic compound fertilizers, methods of increasing yield and reducing expenditure, correct guidance and scientific use should be adopted to accelerate their promotion and application.
First, production costs should be reduced. First, use organic raw materials locally rather than transporting them over long distances, which increases costs; second, reduce intermediate sales links and connect production and sales closely; third, do a good job in after-sales service and organize science and technology outreach to rural areas so that the fertilizer can quickly exert its fertilizer effect.
Second, apply with sufficient soil moisture and at a suitable temperature. No matter what kind of soil it is applied to, there must be sufficient soil moisture to promote rapid decomposition and transformation. The fertilizer effect is better within a temperature range of 10°C-30°C; when the temperature is below 10°C or above 35°C, fertilizer transformation and absorption will be hindered.
Third, apply correctly as part of a complete program. First, in order to give the fertilizer both long-lasting and quick-acting sustained effects, all fields where bio-organic compound fertilizer is applied should also be applied with about 30 kg of ammonium bicarbonate per mu, and then other nutrient elements should be applied according to the needs of different crops; bio-organic compound fertilizer cannot be used to replace other fertilizers. Second, when used as a base fertilizer, the amount per mu should not exceed 50 kg. Especially for vegetable growing in plastic greenhouses, the amount must not be exceeded. Third, when soil moisture is insufficient, timely drought relief and moisture regulation should be carried out after application.
