Focus on key areas in winter fishery management to lay a solid foundation for next year's production

Winter fishing
As winter arrives, the focus of fishery production gradually shifts. Doing a good job in winter aquaculture technical management lays the foundation for a bountiful fishery harvest next year. It is recommended that the vast number of fishery science and technology demonstration households take the following measures to manage winter fishery production well.
1. Stocking fish fry early allows the fish to adapt to their new living environment earlier, feed earlier, and grow earlier, relatively extending the growth period.
2. Promptly harvest aquatic products that have reached marketable size. As water temperature drops, most aquatic products reach the minimum catchable size for market. Harvest in a timely manner, seize the time to sell on the market, accelerate capital turnover, and improve farming efficiency.
3. Do a good job of summarizing fishery production. Focus on pond yield estimation, benefit analysis, filling in the "Science and Technology Demonstration Household Handbook," and collecting other materials, sum up experience, and promote the application and extension of new technologies.
4. Feed reasonably to improve disease resistance. In the cold winter, when the water temperature is above 5°C, generally feed once every 3-5 days, with a daily feeding amount of 1.0% of fish body weight, to supplement the fish's nutrition and increase the survival rate.
