Five tasks to do well during the spring peak breeding season for female rabbits
Spring has a mild climate, suitable temperatures and plenty of sunshine. At this time, female rabbits show obvious signs of estrus and male rabbits have strong libido, making it the golden season for rabbit breeding. To allow female rabbits to breed healthily while ensuring the health and quality of the newborn rabbits, rabbit farmers also need to pay attention to several issues when breeding rabbits in spring, so as to help female rabbits breed smoothly and healthily.

Female rabbit
1. Pay attention to body condition and nutrition.Female rabbits should not be too fat; maintaining a body condition of about 70 to 80 percent is ideal. To keep female rabbits in proper body condition, their feed must be reasonably matched, with attention to complete nutrition, and green feed must not be lacking in particular. For female rabbits that are too fat, reduce the amount of concentrated feed, feed more green feed, and increase exercise.
2. Pay attention to inducing estrus and mating. For those female rabbits that have not come into estrus for a long time, methods such as using a male rabbit to chase and mount them for stimulation can be used to promote estrus.
3. Appropriately increase the nutrition of pregnant female rabbits. After 15 days of pregnancy, the fetuses in the female rabbit's abdomen grow faster, so the female rabbit's nutrition must be strengthened. At the same time, the feed must be kept clean and fresh; do not feed overnight wet grass, dew-covered grass, feed that is too acidic or too alkaline, or moldy feed.
4. Pay attention to protecting the pregnancy.Do not palpate the fetuses casually, to avoid causing miscarriage, stillbirth, and so on. Palpation is best done 12 to 15 days after mating. Keep the environment around the rabbit hutch quiet, and strictly prohibit loud talking, noise, setting off firecrackers, and so on.
5. Make good preparations before kindling.Three to four days before the female rabbit is due to give birth, move her to a quiet, warm, safe rabbit hutch with relatively good conditions, and clean and disinfect the nest box, laying sun-dried soft grass, bedding, and so on inside the nest box.
