How runt pigs affect economic returns and how to cleverly get runt pigs out of the runt state

For various reasons, runt pigs (commonly called "little old man pigs") often appear or develop during pig farming. Some runt pigs eat little and grow slowly, and some eat but do not grow at all, seriously affecting the economic returns of pig raisers. Now the editor will introduce methods for getting runt pigs out of the runt state:

Pigs

1. Deworming and clearing the stomach. Use trichlorfon, administered orally once at a ratio of 0.017 g of trichlorfon per kg of pig body weight, once a day for 3 consecutive days. Two days after deworming, dissolve 1 kg of quicklime in 5 kg of water, take the clear supernatant liquid and mix it into the feed to feed the pigs, once a day for 5 consecutive days, to clear worm eggs and various toxins from the pig's gastrointestinal tract.

2. Strengthening the stomach and promoting digestion. Use 1 tablet of rhubarb soda tablets per kg of pig body weight at 0.3 g; note that each pig should eat no more than 10 rhubarb soda tablets. Grind into powder, mix with feed and administer, once a day for 5 consecutive days to strengthen the stomach. At the same time, each time use 50 g each of hawthorn, malt and medicated leaven, decoct the juice and mix with feed for administration, once a day for 5 consecutive days to promote digestion. After administration, runt pigs have a strong appetite and their digestive function is greatly enhanced.

3. Subcutaneous injection of vitamin AD injection behind the ear base of runt pigs. Inject 5 mL of vitamin AD liquid each time (each mL contains 1500 IU of vitamin A and 300 IU of vitamin D), once a week for 3 consecutive times.

4. Add "lime-sulfur-salt" to the feed. That is, take equal amounts of quicklime, sulfur and table salt. First fry the table salt until yellow, then pour in the quicklime and stir-fry together for 10 minutes. After removing from the pan and cooling, add the sulfur, grind together into powder, and put in a bottle for later use. For runt pigs weighing 25 kg or less, feed 5-8 g per day; for those over 25 kg, feed 10-15 g per day, until slaughter. This not only supplements minerals for runt pigs but also stimulates appetite.

5. Feed a combination of concentrated and roughage. To exercise the pig's gastrointestinal tract, feed some green grass, wild vegetables, vegetable leaves, bran and other feed. First chop the green feed, crush the dry roughage, then mix in proportion with compound concentrate and 0.4% oxytetracycline powder to feed runt pigs.
