What happens when too much chemical fertilizer is applied? Please explain

Excessive chemical fertilizer application produces the following situations:
    1. It leads to a large input-to-output ratio. First, limited by factors such as the level of farming and cultivation and the crop's fertilizer requirement, crops cannot achieve very high yields; second, because too much of a few single-type fertilizers is applied, nutrient imbalance and nutrient disorder are caused, which only increases costs without increasing yields, and also causes low-quality agricultural products to be difficult to sell or to have a low price, bringing losses to farmers.
    2. It leads to a decline in product quality. One-sided application of a certain chemical fertilizer causes crop nutrient disorder, blocks the transformation and synthesis of some substances in the plant, and reduces product quality. For example, melons and fruits now do not taste sweet, vegetables do not taste savory, and they rot easily and cannot be stored. The reason for all of these is excessive chemical fertilizer application.
    3. It leads to environmental pollution. Because too much chemical fertilizer is applied, substances such as water-soluble nutrients in the soil are leached by rainwater and farmland irrigation water into groundwater and rivers, causing pollution of groundwater and rivers in some areas, making groundwater, rivers and lakes eutrophic, making groundwater unpleasant to drink, and causing fish and shrimp in some rivers and lakes to die frequently.
    4. It leads to deterioration of soil properties. When large amounts of single-element chemical fertilizers are applied to farmland, their nutrients cannot be effectively absorbed and used by crops. Some chemical substances such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are easily fixed by the soil, forming various chemical salts that accumulate in the soil, causing an imbalance in soil nutrient structure and worsening physical properties, and in some plots harmful metals and harmful bacteria exceed the standard, leading to deterioration of soil properties.
