Feeding these omnivorous foods while ensuring normal feeding of meat ducks can quickly fatten them

Meat ducks are omnivorous poultry. Under normal feeding, giving meat ducks the following omnivorous foods can shorten their fattening period.

Meat ducks

    1. Feeding pig blood: Fresh pig blood is not mixed with water or salt. After it coagulates into a solid, break the pig blood into pieces. Add the amount of blood from 1 pig to the daily ration of every 100 ducks, mix well, and feed it to the ducks. This can accelerate the growth rate of meat ducks, with a significant weight gain effect.

    2. Feeding Chinese herbal medicine: Ophiopogon root (Ophiopogon japonicus), licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis), and Chinese yam (Dioscorea polystachya) 20 g each; angelica (Angelica sinensis) and Sichuan lovage rhizome (Ligusticum chuanxiong) 10 g each; codonopsis (Codonopsis pilosula) and fleeceflower root (Polygonum multiflorum) 23 g each; Liu Yi San and multivitamins 30 g each; fish meal and soybean 500 g each. Grind the above Chinese herbal medicines, mix well, and blend into the feed. This is enough for 30 ducks to eat. Each duck can gain about 156 g per day during fattening. After 15 days of fattening, they can be sold.

    3. Feeding areca: Boil 50 g of areca powder in 1 kg of water, and give each duckling 2-3 drops by mouth. This can expel pathogens from the duck's body and improve the survival rate.

    4. Feeding mulberry leaves: Add 3% mulberry leaf powder to the feed of meat ducks 4 weeks before slaughter. Compared with meat ducks fed feed without mulberry leaves, the meat is finer, the aroma is stronger, and the taste is especially good.

    5. Feeding humus mud: It contains 81.5% moisture, 2.7% protein, 1.1% cellulose, 1% nitrogen-free extract, 9.9% ash, 0.27% calcium, 0.06% phosphorus, and 3.8% sand and soil impurities. According to experiments, for ducklings from 21 to 55 days old, adding 10%-20% humus mud to the compound feed results in very good growth and development, a survival rate of over 98%, and also saves feed and reduces breeding costs.

    6. Feeding soybean milk: Dry soybeans in the sun and process them into soybean powder. Put the soybean powder in a bucket, pour in an appropriate amount of boiling water, cover the bucket, and after 10 minutes, soybean milk is formed. Every day, use 65 g of soybean powder made into soybean milk for every 10 ducks, divided into two feedings. The growth rate of meat ducks is significantly increased.

    7. Feeding hornwort: Commonly known as goldfish weed, it is an aquatic herb that sinks in water, with the top sometimes slightly exposed above the water surface. Use a bamboo pole or go into the water to collect it and feed it to ducks. This saves costs and is beneficial to the health of meat ducks.

    8. Feeding plantain: Meat ducks are prone to heatstroke in summer. You can puncture and bleed the vein under the wing or at the toe fork, and only 1-2 drops of blood need to come out. Then mash fresh plantain and feed it by mouth, 1-2 per duck each time, twice a day.
