Fertilizer registration certificates are generally divided into temporary registration certificates, formal registration, and filing registration. Zhongdi Network provides a detailed introduction below for readers' reference.

Introduction to temporary fertilizer registration certificates:
A temporary registration certificate is for fertilizer products that, after field trials, require field demonstration trials and trial sales; the producer shall apply for temporary registration. A temporary registration certificate is valid for 1 year. An application for renewal shall be made 2 months before the expiry of the validity period, and it may be renewed twice, with each renewal valid for 1 year.
For example, Nongfei (2008) Lin Zi No. 168 is a temporary registration certificate issued by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2008, with registration number 168; Xiang Nongfei (2009) Lin Zi No. 661 is a temporary registration certificate issued by the Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture in 2009, with registration number 661.

        Introduction to formal fertilizer registration:
Fertilizer products that, after field demonstration trials and trial sales, can be circulated as formal commodities.
The producer shall apply for formal registration. A formal registration certificate is valid for 5 years. An application for renewal shall be made 6 months before the expiry of the validity period, and the renewal is valid for 5 years. For example, Nongfei (2008) Zhun Zi No. 132 (Ministry of Agriculture), Xiang Nongfei Zhun Zi No. 2008 (Provincial Department of Agriculture).

        Filing registration of fertilizers:
For fertilizers registered at the provincial level to enter another province, the producer or seller shall apply to the provincial agricultural administrative department of the place of sale and use for filing registration. The validity period of the filing registration is consistent with the term of the registration certificate obtained for that fertilizer in its own province. Therefore, when fertilizer from another province enters a province, only 1 filing registration is required within the validity period of the registration certificate.
