How is chicken manure organic fertilizer made? Is there a fellow gardener who can walk us through the process?Chicken manure organic fertilizer is non-toxic to humans and livestock, pollution-free, and safe to use. It can fix nitrogen, release phosphorus, and release potassium, while also breaking down residual substances from chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and it boosts yields, improves quality, and strengthens disease resistance in both crop farming and livestock raising. Zhongdiwang has put together the method for making chicken manure organic fertilizer, and the steps are listed below for fellow gardeners to refer to.
Step 1. Preparing the equipment:
Making chicken manure organic fertilizer requires one mixer, a few square meters of workshop space for piling the fertilizer, and some old burlap sacks to cover the fermenting fertilizer. The actual work is done on a simple concrete floor.
Step 2. Preparing the raw materials:
Taking the production of one ton of chicken manure organic fertilizer as an example, you need one ton of chicken manure, 0.3 tons of straw powder, 5 kg of cornmeal, and 8 kg of microbial inoculant.
Step 3. The production process:
1. Mixing and stirring the raw materials: First mix the chicken manure with an appropriate amount of straw powder. How much to add depends on the moisture content of the chicken manure. Fermentation generally requires 45% moisture content, which means it forms a ball when squeezed in the hand, water shows at the finger gaps but does not drip, and it falls apart as soon as you release your grip and touch it. Then add the cornmeal and the microbial inoculant. The cornmeal serves to increase the sugar content for the inoculant to ferment with, so that the multi-dimensional complex enzyme microbes quickly gain absolute dominance. Then feed the prepared mixture into the mixer and stir. Stirring must be even and thorough, with no raw clumps left. Pile the mixed ingredients into long strips 1.5-2 m wide and 0.8-1 m high, and cover them with burlap sacks for aerobic fermentation piling.
2. Piling the chicken manure organic fertilizer:In the piling process, the temperature rises on day one, the odor disappears on day two, it becomes loose on day three, it turns fragrant on day four, and it becomes fertilizer on day five. Specifically, on the first day of piling the temperature can reach 60°C-80°C, killing E. coli, insect eggs, and other pests and diseases;
on the second day the smell of the chicken manure is eliminated; on the third day the compost becomes loose and dry, covered with white mycelium; on the fourth day it gives off a distiller's yeast-like fragrance; and on the fifth day the microbial fertilizer has finished fermenting and is ready to use after a little air-drying.
Chicken manure organic fertilizer has an organic matter content of over 45% and is a nutritionally complete organic fertilizer. If different elements are then added in a targeted way, it can form a series of special fertilizers for various crops such as vegetables, flowers, fruit trees, and grain, cotton, and oil crops.
