Methods to increase the kindling rate of female rabbits and boost economic returns

    In production practice, how to make female rabbits kindle more young and increase the kindling rate is a key technique every rabbit farmer needs to master. The following 3 methods can help farmers solve the problem of female rabbits kindling few young, so as to increase the kindling rate of female rabbits.

Female rabbit

    1. Supplementation method:Adding vitamin E to the female rabbit's diet and feeding female rabbits carrots can make each female rabbit kindle 2-3 more young. This is because vitamin E, also called tocopherol and anti-sterility vitamin, can maintain the normal function of the endocrine system, enable sex cells to develop normally, and improve the reproductive performance of female rabbits. Carrots are rich in carotene and vitamin A, and these two substances play an important role in the reproductive performance of female rabbits. Feeding method: add 0.2% vitamin E powder to the female rabbit's feed, and it can be fed for a long time. Alternatively, from the second day after the young rabbits are weaned until the female rabbit comes into heat and is mated, feed each female rabbit 30-40 mg of vitamin E powder per kg of body weight per day, mixed into the feed. Generally, lactating female rabbits are fed 80-100 g of carrots per day, and non-pregnant female rabbits are fed 50 g per day.

    2. Slapping method:After the female rabbit has finished mating, slap its rump 2-3 times, which can increase the female rabbit's probability of pregnancy and the number of young kindled. After mating is completed, slapping the female rabbit's rump causes the muscles of the whole body to contract violently, and the uterus also contracts, so the sperm is drawn deep into the vagina, reducing the outflow of semen, thereby increasing the chance of sperm and egg combining and improving the female rabbit's conception probability and number of young kindled.

    3. Repeat mating method:It can increase the conception rate of female rabbits by 10-20% and increase the number of young kindled per litter by 2-3. There are two repeat mating methods: one is repeat mating, in which after the female rabbit's first mating is completed, it is mated again with the same male rabbit at an interval of 4-6 hours; the other is double mating, in which one female rabbit is successively mated with two male rabbits, and after mating with one male rabbit, it is mated with another male rabbit after an interval of 20-30 minutes.
