Henan Food Sampling Inspection Announced: Testing Development Trends, Does All Food Need Sampling Inspection?
For people today, what goes into their mouths is increasingly judged on hygiene, cleanliness and other such issues, because there is more and more junk food now, which over time causes great harm to people's health. In response, Henan Province has adopted new measures. What are they? Let's take a look together.

On the issue of food safety, it is not only the general public who are paying attention; the government is also very concerned. The Henan Provincial Market Supervision Administration has officially issued the “Henan Province 2019 Food Safety Sampling Inspection Plan.” The 2019 food safety sampling inspection work in Henan Province will take the “four strictest” requirements as its fundamental guideline. By testing the hygiene and safety of food, all non-compliant products will be removed from shelves and no longer allowed to be sold.
Henan food sampling inspection has been announced. Through food safety risk warnings, publication of sampling inspection information, and coordinated verification and handling, it focuses on key regulatory tasks and effectively prevents and controls emerging, systemic and regional food safety risks. It adheres to the principles of being problem-oriented, broadly covering all areas, combining supervision with inspection, and being scientific and standardised, and implements coordinated management at the provincial, municipal and county levels. The provincial bureau is mainly responsible for organising and implementing the central government's transferred local sampling inspection tasks, matching the sampling inspection tasks of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the provincial bureau's own sampling inspection tasks. Municipal and county-level bureaus are mainly responsible for organising and implementing sampling inspection work at their own level.
Regarding information publication, market supervision departments at all levels are required to strictly review and publish sampling inspection information for their administrative areas every week in accordance with the requirements of the State Administration for Market Regulation. Regarding assessment management, market supervision departments at all levels are required to fully implement the “double random” requirement, determine testing institutions through public bidding or selection, and carry out inspections and assessments of those testing institutions.
The “Plan” clarifies matters such as verification and handling, information publication, and assessment management. Regarding verification and handling, market supervision departments in each city and county are required, after receiving test reports on non-compliant samples, to promptly initiate verification and handling work on the food production and business operators responsible for the non-compliant food as required, and to truly achieve the “five in place”: product control, source tracing, cause investigation, case handling, and rectification implementation. If the non-compliant food may cause serious harm to health and life safety, verification and handling work shall be initiated within 24 hours.
Henan food sampling inspection has been announced. In particular, the requirement to publish sampling inspection information every week will create a sense of crisis among food producers. The strict sampling inspection system will require food producers to tightly control product quality. Under such a system, the food industry in Henan Province will achieve healthy development.
