Soy milk plays many roles in fattening fish fry, and mastering the key technical points is essential
Soy milk is rich in nutrients and high in protein, and can meet the nutritional needs of fish fry. In addition, the soy milk left uneaten by the fry falls into the water, making the water easy to fertilize, and the fertility is stable, the amount of plankton increases, and fish diseases and predators are fewer.

Feeding fish with soy milk
1. Making soy milk. Before grinding, soak the soybeans in warm water at 25-35°C for 5—8 hours. When grinding, add the soybeans and water at the same time; generally use 5-10 jin of water per jin of soybeans. Soaked soybean cake can also be ground into slurry. Soak the soybean cake for 5-6 hours; when grinding, use 5—6 jin of water per jin.
2. Splashing method. To extend the suspension time of soy milk particles in the water and improve the utilization rate of the soy milk, feed 3-5 times a day, splashing evenly over the whole pond. It is best to pile some tender green grass in the four corners of the fry pond, then splash the soy milk around the grass, so that the small fry, which like to gather densely, can open their mouths and eat. Grass carp and black carp like to gather and move in the shallow water at the pond edge, so more should be splashed along the edges of grass carp and black carp ponds.
3. Splashing time. Generally from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If it is too early, the water temperature is low, the oxygen content is low, and the fry eat less. Especially when the fish are gulping for air at the surface, splashing the slurry will worsen the oxygen shortage. If fed too late, they cannot finish eating before dark, and the soy milk decomposing in the water can also easily cause oxygen shortage in the fish pond. If the weather is muggy and there is going to be a thunderstorm or heavy rain, be sure to feed less or stop feeding.
4. Splashing amount. In the seedling stage, feed an average of 3-4 kg of soy milk per mu per day; after one week, increase it to 5-6 kg, and adjust flexibly according to water conditions. Keep the water color lively, fertile, tender and fresh. Generally, to raise 10,000 fish fingerlings, 7-8 kg of soybeans are needed. In addition, when raising grass carp and black carp fry, after the fry are put into the pond for 10 days and their body length reaches about 10 cm, since their food intake is larger than that of other fry, at this time, in addition to splashing soy milk, it is best to pile thicker soybean paste, soybean cake, etc. in the shallow water around the pond for them to eat.
