First you need to know whether the seeds have already been pre-treated. If they have, you can plant them directly; if not, you have to do it yourself. First, select the seeds by water selection. The method is very simple: just put them all in water, and any that float on the surface are useless seeds. Then comes the treatment: soak the seeds from the flesh of rue family citrus fruits in clean water for two days. On the outside of the seeds there will be a very obvious transparent gelatinous substance, which is plant gum, and the clean water will turn slightly white and cloudy; among this is abscisic acid. These two are substances that inhibit germination and need to be removed, after which they should be ready to plant.
Planting the seeds:
After the seeds have soaked in water for about seven days, you can start planting them
Step 1: Fill the pot with potting soil to about 7~8 parts full and level it, then gently press the soil to make it a bit firmer, so that the soil will not sink after watering.
Step 2: Before planting, you can spray the potting soil with a little water, which makes planting the seeds more convenient. Use tweezers to pick up the soaked orange jasmine seeds and place them into the pot, arranging and planting them in order from the outside of the pot inward. When planting, pay special attention that the pointed tip of the seed must face down, and planting the seed at a depth of about 1/3~1/2 is enough.
Step 3: After the orange jasmine seeds have been arranged and planted, just cover them with Maifan stone.
Step 4: Because the pot chosen has no drainage holes, it is recommended to water by "spraying", as this makes the amount of water easier to control. In principle, base it on spraying the Maifan stone on top until wet in several rounds.
Step 5: All done. Wait quietly for two~three weeks and the little sprouts will slowly poke their heads out.
