Use non-polluting methods to prevent and control orchid pests and diseases
Indoor ornamentalorchid growingand orchids displayed in the living room, study, and bedroomorchids, generally should not be sprayed with agricultural sterilizing insecticides, to prevent accidental poisoning. Therefore, effective non-polluting control methods are usually used to prevent and controlorchid'spests and diseases.
(1) Improve immunity Improving the immunity of orchid plants and enhancing their disease resistance is the fundamental method for non-polluting prevention and control oforchidpests and diseases. The specific methods are: ① In spring, summer, and autumn, spray once with a 1000-fold dilution of "Plant Power 2003" to strengthen roots and plants and improve disease resistance. ② In spring, summer, and autumn, spray once with a 1500-2000-fold dilution of aspirin to induce the orchid plants to produce resistance proteins, thereby effectively blocking, killing, or inhibiting the invasion of pathogens.
(2) Adopt the antibiotic sterilization method Use medical streptomycin, chloramphenicol, and penicillin at 2000-3000-fold dilutions, that is, dilute each small bottle of the original medicine with 2-3 liters of water to make the medicinal solution, and then use it to prevent and control bacterial diseases. For severe cases, the dilution concentration can be increased to 500-fold. However, when the new leaves have not yet developed to half-maturity, the concentration of the medicinal solution used should not be too high, to prevent medicinal damage.
(3) Adopt the sanitary product insecticidal method Use medical essential balm and Miehailing at 100-fold dilutions to spray and kill orchid plant pests, with quite good control effects.
(4) Adopt the biological sterilization and insect-killing method The specific methods are: ① Several pots of potted garlic and onions can be placed among them, or garlic heads and onion heads can be mashed and spread on the pot surface, using their odor to sterilize. ② Use a 50-100-fold infusion of garlic, ginger, chili peppers, or cigarette butts to spray the orchid plants, which has a certain sterilizing and insect-killing effect.
