Various orchid pots are mostly tall bucket-shaped, convenient for orchid roots to grow vertically and matching the slender form of the orchid plant. The sides and bottom of the pot mostly have holes drilled, for water drainage and air circulation. The pot and the orchid must match; planting few orchids in a large pot makes the material in the pot too thick, and it is not easy for air to pass through. Planting many orchids in a small pot means growth lacks nutrients, the space is too narrow, and root and bud growth is hindered. It is common to plant few orchids in a large pot, with much material, and the orchids instead grow poorly; attention should be paid to this. (Guangdong/Shao Chang)
