DamageOrchids'spests and diseasesare numerous; if not controlled promptly, the orchid plants will suffer serious losses. Common diseases include viral disease, southern blight, and leaf spot. It is advisable to start with improvingcultivationconditions and strengthening routine care to carry out prevention. In the early stage of disease onset, for viral disease spray with a 1000-fold aspirin solution; for southern blight use chloramphenicol injection, 1 vial mixed with 1 kg of clean water, pour over the diseased plants, once daily, for 2 consecutive treatments; for leaf spot use penicillin. Spray with a 2000-fold solution of mycin, once every 2 days, for 3-4 consecutive sprays, which can achieve fairly good results. The main pests are scale insects, aphids, and red spiders. For scale insects on plants with few insects, remove them one by one with a toothpick or toothbrush; for large quantities, spray with malathion at 500-700 times dilution. For aphids, spray with 10% imidacloprid wettable powder produced by Jiangsu Kesheng Group at 500 times dilution, with very good results.
