The difference between contact insecticides and systemic insecticides

Contact insecticides and systemic insecticides

The main function is pesticides such as chemical or microbial agents and insect growth regulators that kill pests. After dilution to the safest and most effective recommended ratio, they are applied by spraying or baiting, causing pests to contact or feed on the agent, so that they die through skin penetration, consumption and absorption of the agent by organs, and so on, protecting plants from pest chewing, piercing and damage. Classified by insecticidal mechanism: (1) Contact insecticides: their function is only that pests contact the agent, which penetrates through the skin and causes poisoning and death. This type of pesticide is effective only when pests come into contact with the agent. (2) Systemic insecticides: their function is that the agent is applied to the tissues of the plant, and the agent can penetrate and translocate into the plant tissues. When pests feed, they are poisoned and die, thereby achieving the insecticidal control effect.
