The causes of soft rot go beyond not adapting to the local environment
Getting soft rot isn't just because of not adapting to the local environment
The original orchids were in their local area, had always adapted to the local climate, were in good health, and even after pathogens entered, even without medication, it had no effect on the orchids themselves, because their resistance was sufficient. But after leaving their hometown, due to not adapting to the local environment, the orchids had to use part of their energy to fight the pathogens already inside them, and also had to deal with an unfamiliar living environment. After their resistance dropped, the pathogens began to multiply in large numbers. Although topical medication was used for treatment, the disease was already severe, and so alas, they perished. Now about the other two orchids that did not collapse: because the original flower owner often used medication, pathogens found it hard to invade. So when they came to live in the new environment, although they were not adapting to the local environment, first, their own resistance was sufficient, and second, the new environment also had medication to assist treatment, so pathogens could not invade, and therefore they could grow healthily. My Sixi Die and Hewang very likely died for this reason.
There is also another reason. Whether it is people ororchids, living in this world, they cannot avoid being troubled by diseases. When the body is very healthy, a little bit of pathogen will not cause much harm, and sometimes no abnormality can be felt at all. However, when viruses slowly accumulate in the body to a certain point, they can suddenly break out. Once they break out, the consequences are quite serious, and may even endanger life. For example, with diseases people often get such as cancer, under normal circumstances people feel quite well, but once they feel there is illness, it is basically already the late stage.Orchidsare the same, and will also be harmed by some viruses. When the viruses break out, the damage to the plant is extremely great, so early prevention must be done.
