An effective solution for poor air circulation in orchid pots

How to solve the ventilation problem in orchid pots

Use an iron awl to drill 100-120 holes in a plastic mineral water bottle that has already been drunk from. The more holes, the better the ventilation, but do not use fire to make the holes, because burning holes will blacken the plastic and cause contamination. After the holes are drilled, cut the bottle into two sections. The upper section has the bottle cap, and the lower section is turned upside down and placed over the drainage hole of the orchid pot (suitable for medium and large orchid pots). For the largest orchid pots, an entire mineral water bottle is needed; cut off the bottom and likewise place it over the drainage hole of the orchid pot, then place a layer of drainage materials such as charcoal, hard plastic foam blocks, brick pieces, etc. around the mineral water bottle, and planting can then be carried out. According to several years of practice, using a mineral water bottle is indeed the most ideal way to solve ventilation in orchid pots. Orchid friends may as well give it a try. (Su Lan)
