1. On August 24, 2018 (the 107th year of the Republic of China), the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan amended the specifications and designs of the organic agricultural product label stipulated in Article 3 of the Regulations on the Administration of Agricultural Product Labels, and stipulated that before the amendment took effect, agricultural products and their processed products that had already passed verification in accordance with the Agricultural Production and Verification Management Act and its relevant regulations may, by the agricultural product business operators, continue to use the old label within 1 year after the implementation, during the valid period of the verification.
2. The determination of the use of the old label is based on the product manufacturing date, that is, products produced before August 25, 2019 (the 108th year of the Republic of China) and using the old label may continue to be sold before the expiration date.
3. Products produced from August 26, 2019 (the 108th year of the Republic of China) onward shall all use the new label. For products without a manufacturing date label, the agricultural product business operator shall provide relevant product manufacturing information as the basis for determination.
4. For agricultural product business operators that have been issued a verification certificate with a unified coding, products produced before the expiration of the buffer period on August 25, 2019 (the 108th year of the Republic of China) may continue to use the existing packaging materials, and the labeling of the old verification certificate number may continue to be sold before the expiration date; for products produced from August 26, 2019 (the 108th year of the Republic of China) onward, the verification certificate number after reissuance shall all be labeled.
5. For the operation of replacing the verification certificate number labeling on product packaging, the determination of the buffer period and the period of use of the old certificate number labeling shall be handled in accordance with the method for replacing old and new labels.
