Orchid fungicide - quintozene

Also known as turfcide, the industrial product is a pale yellow to grayish white powder, odorless and tasteless, insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and readily soluble in organic solvents such as carbon disulfide, chloroform, benzene, and kerosene. Its chemical properties are stable, it does not volatilize easily, and it is unaffected by sunlight, temperature, or acidity and alkalinity. It has a relatively long residual effect in soil, is of low toxicity to humans and livestock, and is of low toxicity to fish. It is mainly used for seed and seedling disinfection and soil treatment, to control fungal diseases transmitted by seeds, seedlings, or soil, and is especially effective against Rhizoctonia and Sclerotium. Formulations: 70% and 75% quintozene powders. How to use: Apply 1.5-2.5 kg of 70% quintozene powder per mu, band-applied in the sowing bed, and it can be turned into the soil and mixed evenly, or use 4 g quintozene and 4 g thiram (or 5 g zineb, or 5 g mancozeb) per square meter of seedbed, then mix well with 10-15 kg of fine soil. Precautions: 1. When preparing the toxic soil, it must be as uniform as possible. 2. It must not contaminate food or forage crops. (Liu Zhongjian)
