Orchid fungicide - amobam

Amobam is a fungicide with protective and curative action. Its chemical name is diaminoethane bis(dithiocarbamate) hydrogen. The pure product is colorless crystals; the technical-grade product is a pale yellow aqueous solution, weakly alkaline, with an odor of nitrogen and hydrogen sulfide. It is soluble in water and relatively stable chemically, but decomposes easily when the temperature exceeds 40 degrees. It has low toxicity to humans and livestock. Amobam can penetrate into plant tissues, has strong fungicidal power, and is not easily washed off by rain. After decomposing within the plant, it also has a fertilizing effect. Formulations include 45% and 50% aqueous solutions. In ornamental flowers, the 50% aqueous solution at 800-1000 times dilution is commonly used as a spray to controlorchidcorm rot, orchidanthracnose and leaf spot diseases of many ornamental trees and shrubs. Treating seedbed soil with the 50% aqueous solution at 200-400 times dilution, 2-4 kg per square meter, can controlorchidsouthern blight. When using, the following must be noted: (1) It should not be mixed with lime sulfur, calcium arsenate, Bordeaux mixture, or resin soap; (2) when spraying, if the dilution is less than 1000 times, there is a risk of phytotoxicity; (3) the solution is irritating to human skin, and if left on the skin for a long time it will cause black spots, so if the solution gets on the skin, it should be washed off immediately with water; (4) this pesticide should be stored sealed in a cool, dry place, and should be protected from sunlight during transport.
