January 6, 2016 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Month-on-Month Change

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on January 6 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” stood at 202.44, down 0.56 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index stood at 203.83, down 0.62 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural products wholesale market was 22.94 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 176.82), up 0.7% from yesterday;

Beef 54.28 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Mutton 46.59 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Eggs 8.11 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.89 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 4.16 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 228.00), down 0.5% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 4.95 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday;

The average price of crucian carp was 14.26 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.15 yuan/kg, up 1.3% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.24 yuan/kg, up 1.5% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.88 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: watermelon, banana, shiitake mushroom, silver carp and grass carp, with increases of 2.7%, 2.3%, 2.0%, 1.5% and 1.3% respectively; the top five price decreases were: pineapple, cabbage, pumpkin, lotus root and white radish, with decreases of 3.3%, 3.1%, 2.3%, 2.3% and 2.3% respectively.
