August 11, 2014, the "National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index" compared with last week

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on August 11 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 207.79, up 0.93 points from last Friday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 210.25, up 1.08 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at wholesale markets for agricultural products nationwide was 19.61 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 169.21), up 2.6% from last Friday;

Beef 54.25 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from last Friday;

Mutton 54.90 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from last Friday;

Eggs 10.44 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from last Friday;

Dressed chicken 15.11 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.47 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 194.56), up 2.4% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.00 yuan/kg, down 1.6% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 15.17 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from last Friday;

Common carp 12.68 yuan/kg, up 2.4% from last Friday;

Silver carp 7.29 yuan/kg, up 3.3% from last Friday;

Largehead hairtail 27.14 yuan/kg, unchanged from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at wholesale markets for fresh and live agricultural products nationwide, compared with last Friday, the top five price increases were: zucchini, cucumber, oyster mushroom, cowpea and onion, with increases of 9.0%, 6.8%, 6.7%, 6.1% and 5.2% respectively; the top five price decreases were: pineapple, tomato, Kyoho grape, watermelon and Ya pear, with decreases of 5.8%, 3.0%, 2.8%, 2.4% and 1.9% respectively.
