August 13, 2014 "National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on August 13 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 207.22, down 0.64 points from yesterday, of which the “Basket of Vegetables” Products Wholesale Price Index was 209.60, down 0.68 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural products wholesale market was 19.75 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 169.61), up 0.4% from yesterday;

Beef 54.17 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday;

Mutton 54.77 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 10.53 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.93 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.45 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 190.13), up 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.98 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 15.22 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.50 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.06 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.51 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring in the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: pineapple, cauliflower, zucchini, lettuce and bok choy, with increases of 5.1%, 4.0%, 3.5%, 3.3% and 2.9% respectively; the top five price decreases were: watermelon, pumpkin, Kyoho grape, tomato and oyster mushroom, with decreases of 5.4%, 4.8%, 3.7%, 3.6% and 2.3% respectively.
