The practice of orchid cultivation, like other labor practices, is an endless activity. Once you enter the door, you can only keep moving forward. From then on, it becomes unstoppable, and there will no longer be an endpoint. And indeed it is so; orchid art will accompany you for life from then on.
The key to orchid practice lies in being good at using your brain to cultivate orchids, being good at summarizing successful experiences, dissecting failures and lessons, and continuously accumulating your own orchid knowledge through experience and lessons. So there is no shortcut; only steady and diligent effort. In orchid practice, one must pay close attention to the following points:
1. Correct your motivation for orchid cultivation, focus on artistic cultivation, pursue the spiritual temperament of orchid art, and strictly guard against speculation and greed for money;
2. Start with traditional old varieties, and throughcultivationof traditional famous varieties, learn and master orchid appreciation art andcultivationtechniques, advancing gradually. Strictly guard against impatience and irritability; haste makes waste;
3. Determine your focus, conquer one point first, then gradually broaden your horizons. 5. Always maintain a calm mind; do not be overjoyed or worried because of orchids. Encountering fine orchids and famous cymbidiums depends on orchid destiny. Do not become arrogant when you obtain them, and do not brood over it when you lose them. Strictly guard against competing for fame and chasing profit;
6. Do not be ashamed to ask questions, be good at making orchid friends, and broadly absorb experience. True knowledge comes from practice. Being good at drawing experience from orchid friends is an extremely important part of success in orchid art. Ask more and observe more, and your skill will naturally develop. Strictly guard against being secretive and arrogant because of your flowers.
