On August 28, 2014, the "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on August 28 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 210.40, up 0.20 points from yesterday, among which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 213.12, up 0.09 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 20.18 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 173.88), down 0.4% from yesterday;

Beef was 54.83 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from yesterday;

Mutton was 55.08 yuan/kg, basically flat compared with yesterday;

Eggs were 11.30 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 15.38 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.62 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 199.60), up 1.4% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 5.72 yuan/kg, down 1.5% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.90 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Common carp was 12.43 yuan/kg, flat compared with yesterday;

Silver carp was 7.08 yuan/kg, up 1.4% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.66 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties key monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: Chinese cabbage, celery, lettuce, Welsh onion and onion, with increases of 5.1%, 4.9%, 4.9%, 4.8% and 4.8% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Ya pear, pumpkin, banana, Kyoho grape and ginger, with decreases of 5.6%, 2.7%, 2.5%, 1.2% and 1.0% respectively.
