August 28, 2014 "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on August 29 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 210.00, down 0.40 points from yesterday; among this, the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 212.71, down 0.41 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the National Agricultural Wholesale Market was 20.22 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 173.76), up 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.59 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Mutton 55.00 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 11.28 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.49 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.61 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 198.70), down 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.56 yuan/kg, down 2.8% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 15.17 yuan/kg, up 1.8% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.60 yuan/kg, up 1.4% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.02 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.68 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties focused on in the domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale market, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: bananas, crucian carp, large yellow croaker, cucumber and spinach, with increases of 2.2%, 1.8%, 1.8%, 1.5% and 1.4% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Ya pears, pineapples, Kyoho grapes, watermelons and lotus root, with decreases of 6.2%, 5.9%, 5.1%, 4.0% and 3.6% respectively.
