With the development of the orchid market, all kinds of bacterial fertilizers have found their place, and products from Japan, the United States, Taiwan, China and elsewhere have been used by orchid growers one after another, with mixed results reported. In my view, only correct use can make them play their proper role, and the same is true of Yilan bacteria; its ingredients inevitably include yeast, sugar and protein. It has something in common with the sugar-vinegar solution, that is, it sterilizes while also producing the organic fertilizerorchidsneed, providing nutrients. It can increase the source of nitrogen in the soil, and break down the hard-to-dissolve phosphorus and potassium in the soil, converting them into phosphorus and potassium compounds that plants can absorb and use, improving the nutritional conditions of the plants. It secretes a variety of metabolites, has an inhibitory effect on many kinds of pathogenic bacteria, and can enhance the stress resistance of plants. When temperature and humidity are suitable, the activity of the bacterial community will not stop. Therefore, using Yilan bacteria requires providing the corresponding conditions:1: Sunlight: corresponding temperature, sunny days are best:
2: Culturing the bacteria: after diluting with water, let it stand for a full day and night, so that the bacterial bodies are activated, multiply, and produce more beneficial bacteria:
3: Dry pots: use when the growing medium is not too wet; simply stop watering the pot for two days:
4: Fungicides: residual fungicide in the pot will also inhibit the efficacy of Yilan bacteria, so it can be used two days after a heavy watering:
In my experience of using Yilan bacteria, the greatest benefit is that it does not harm the seedlings, even weak and small seedlings. Any bacterial fertilizer, used properly, will bring you surprises, just likegrowing orchidsgrowing medium: if you have a good grasp of it, you can grow orchids well in any growing medium.
