Changes in the National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index on September 5, 2014 Compared with Yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on September 5 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 207.48, down 0.30 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 209.70, down 0.42 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural products wholesale market was 20.37 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 175.06), up 0.5% from yesterday;

Beef was 54.10 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Mutton was 55.28 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Eggs were 11.26 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 15.71 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.63 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 199.29), up 1.4% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.57 yuan/kg, down 1.8% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 15.04 yuan/kg, up 1.6% from yesterday;

Common carp was 12.53 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 7.08 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.64 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring in the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: eggplant, oyster mushroom, green pepper, pumpkin and white radish, with increases of 3.9%, 3.9%, 3.7%, 3.4% and 3.3% respectively; the top five price decreases were: pineapple, ya pear, Kyoho grape, Fuji apple and largehead hairtail, with decreases of 4.3%, 3.8%, 1.6%, 1.3% and 1.2% respectively.
