September 10, 2014 "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on September 10 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 206.38, down 0.49 points from yesterday, of which the “Shopping Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 208.31, down 0.60 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 20.22 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 174.58), down 0.6% from yesterday;

Beef was 54.31 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Mutton was 55.20 yuan/kg, basically flat from yesterday;

Eggs were 11.25 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 15.66 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.56 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 197.84), down 0.8% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.53 yuan/kg, flat from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.90 yuan/kg, down 2.1% from yesterday;

Common carp was 12.33 yuan/kg, down 2.1% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 6.97 yuan/kg, down 2.5% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.97 yuan/kg, up 1.2% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh and live agricultural wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: green peppers, lettuce, large yellow croaker, spinach and bananas, with increases of 4.2%, 2.3%, 1.7%, 1.7% and 1.5% respectively; the top five price decreases were: zucchini, winter melon, cauliflower, onion and silver carp, with decreases of 3.9%, 3.5%, 3.3%, 2.5% and 2.5% respectively.
