In a sense, modern society is a financial society, but animal husbandry has long failed to attract sufficient attention and support from the modern financial industry, becoming an industry that is neglected, whether intentionally or not. With the development of modern animal husbandry, especially with the need for large-scale and industrialized development and the optimization of the agricultural structure, animal husbandry urgently needs the support of the financial industry. Judging from the current actual situation across the country, there is a serious mismatch between the intensity of financial support and the current state of animal husbandry development, which to some extent restricts the development of modern animal husbandry.

On the one hand, the banking and financial industry supporting the development of animal husbandry is not merely "making a contribution," because with the support of the financial industry, animal husbandry development can not only achieve scale and industrialization, but also become more stable and reduce credit risks, thereby achieving a win-win situation with the financial industry. So how can the financial industry strengthen its support for animal husbandry? The government level should attach sufficient importance to this and come up with practical measures. The government should first actively create convenient conditions for financial support of animal husbandry development, introduce relevant fiscal and tax preferential policies, and accelerate the pace of building loan guarantee centers for animal husbandry; in addition, financial institutions in various regions should also adjust their operating ideas, accelerate the improvement of the fund allocation mechanism for financial support of animal husbandry development, and build a financial service model for the entire industrial chain.

For a long time, the reason why the domestic financial industry has not provided sufficient support for the development of animal husbandry is precisely that domestic animal husbandry finds it difficult to achieve scale and industrialization. Under the small-scale peasant economy, the assets of farming households are mainly reflected in live poultry and live livestock, and for financial institutions, because these live poultry and live livestock are too greatly affected by factors such as market prices and epidemics, the slightest carelessness can result in financial institutions being unable to recover their loans. Therefore, there has long been a traditional understanding that "even with ten thousand strings of family wealth, livestock with hair do not count." But in this way, farming households have even less ability to expand the scale of breeding and form industrialized operations, ultimately forming a vicious cycle that hinders the animal husbandry and breeding industry from becoming bigger and stronger, and also reduces their ability to withstand market risks.

To change this situation, we have a lot of work to do. Among these, two are the most important: First, we must accelerate the construction of loan guarantee centers for animal husbandry and resolve the bottleneck restricting financial support. The difficulty of loan collateral is the main factor restricting current financial support for animal husbandry development, and establishing loan guarantee centers for animal husbandry and vigorously developing the animal husbandry insurance market can form an effective risk-sharing mechanism and reduce the worries of financial institutions. Second, financial institutions should learn to rely on local leading enterprises in animal husbandry to build a financial service model for the industrial chain. Practice has proved that establishing a large-scale animal husbandry industrial chain is the key to improving the risk resistance and added value of animal husbandry. This is not only conducive to the development of local animal husbandry, but also reduces the credit risks of financial institutions.
