The "2014 Yangtze River Delta Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Expo," themed "Walk into Beautiful Countryside, Experience the Fun of Agricultural Tourism," will be held for the first time from September 19 to September 22 at the Shanghai International Agricultural Exhibition Center.

With the continuous development of China's economy, the ongoing improvement of transportation conditions, and the gradual implementation of the paid leave system, the forms and destinations of people's travel and tourism have undergone profound changes. Leisure agriculture and rural tourism, which aim to experience the rustic atmosphere, embrace and get close to nature, and savor farmhouse cuisine, are increasingly sought after by people. The "2014 Yangtze River Delta Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Expo," held for the first time this year, will focus on "food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment," cultivate and explore cultural elements of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, and promote the transformation and upgrading of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. Through a comprehensive display of the Yangtze River Delta's leisure tourism development achievements, it will build a platform for promoting agricultural tourism attractions, help agricultural tourism attractions raise brand awareness, increase brand promotion efforts, and drive and lead the healthy and sustainable development of the leisure agricultural tourism industry.

This year's exhibition covers a total area of 7,500 sq m, with 235 participating attractions from 4 provinces and municipalities in the Yangtze River Delta (including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui), and 40 special exhibition booths distributed across Halls A, B, and C. During the expo, a series of highlight activities will be held, including the launch of the "Fall in Love with Agricultural Tourism - 2014 Shanghai Agricultural Tourism Passport," an open selection of "Leisure Agricultural Tourism Experts," the selection of "My Favorite Yangtze River Delta Leisure Agriculture (Farmhouse) and Rural Tourism Attractions," on-site appreciation of "Folk Culture" demonstration activities, and the holding of the "2014 Yangtze River Delta Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Seminar and Promotion Conference."
