September 23, 2014 "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on September 23 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 205.58, up 0.61 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 207.57, up 0.85 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 20.13 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 173.53), down 0.5% from yesterday;

Beef 54.43 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton 55.15 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday;

Eggs 11.11 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.70 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.70 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 198.49), up 0.5% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.60 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.95 yuan/kg, down 2.0% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.49 yuan/kg, down 1.3% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.21 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.56 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties monitored at domestic fresh agricultural wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: ya pear, rapeseed, spinach, zucchini and eggplant, with increases of 5.9%, 5.5%, 3.9%, 3.1% and 2.8% respectively; the top five price decreases were: watermelon, oyster mushroom, pumpkin, lotus root and crucian carp, with decreases of 5.2%, 3.7%, 3.2%, 3.0% and 2.0% respectively.
