In growing flowers, besides growing the plants well, one should pursueorchidflowers of good quality even more!

A fellow orchid grower asked me, is the blooming period of Four Seasons Orchid really only a few days? Why can it never reach good flower quality?

I have been growing Four Seasons Orchid for many years, and only in the last few years have I figured out a little bit of experience, which I bring here to share with fellow orchid growers. If I say anything wrong, please correct me!

To ensure a variety's flower quality reaches its full potential, strong seedlings, large pseudobulbs and sufficient nutrients are essential. It is best to let flowers come on plants that have already matured; flowers on new seedlings generally cannot achieve very good quality. Having to satisfy the plant's growth and also ensure top flower quality is too tiring! Hehehehe!

After the flower buds appear, place the plant in a cool, shaded and well-ventilated spot with a not-too-high temperature, reduce the moisture inside the pot, increase the humidity of the surrounding air, and give little or no sunlight. Increase the temperature difference between day and night, and the flower spike will grow taller and the flower quality will also be better!

In Sichuan, the blooming period of Four Seasons Orchid basically covers 3 seasons. After each blooming period, appropriately supplementing nutrients is necessary! This way, the second and third flushes of flowers can bloom well! I call it postpartum fertilizer! Hehehehe! For hard-lip plum-petal type Four Seasons Orchids, to keep the flower quality from being too masculine in form! From the small budding stage onward, appropriately increasing the moisture inside the pot is necessary!

For soft-lip type Four Seasons Orchids, from the small budding stage onward, the moisture inside the pot should be appropriately reduced, commonly known as water withholding!

For colored-flower type Four Seasons Orchids, besides sufficient nutrients, they like phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and trace elements should also be relatively complete. During the budding stage, light should be sufficient!

The reason Four Seasons Orchid is called Four Seasons is actually because its blooming period is very long! Of course, this blooming period refers to the overall blooming period; the blooming period of a single spike is relatively not very long! If you want Four Seasons Orchid to bloom for a longer time, after flowering do not let the temperature be too high, do not give too much sunlight, do not let the moisture inside the pot be too high, and keep the surrounding air humidity a bit higher. This way, generally the single-spike blooming period of Four Seasons Orchid can be appropriately extended!

I hope every orchid grower's Four Seasons Orchid can achieve good flower quality!
