On September 28, 2014, the "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with Friday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on September 28 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 206.17, up 1.06 points from Friday, of which the “Basket of Vegetables” Product Wholesale Price Index was 208.13, up 1.22 points from Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at agricultural wholesale markets nationwide was 20.10 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 174.06), down 0.4% from Friday;

Beef 54.50 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from Friday;

Mutton 55.39 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from Friday;

Eggs 10.94 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from Friday;

Dressed chicken 15.64 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.64 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 198.24), up 0.3% from Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 5.56 yuan/kg, down 1.4% from Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.68 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from Friday;

Common carp 12.18 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from Friday;

Silver carp 6.97 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from Friday;

Large hairtail 28.31 yuan/kg, up 1.8% from Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, compared with Friday the top five price increases were: onion, celery, Chinese chives, Welsh onion and cabbage, with increases of 4.9%, 4.5%, 4.2%, 2.8% and 2.8% respectively; the top five price decreases were: pineapple, Kyoho grape, winter melon, bighead carp and watermelon, with decreases of 4.2%, 3.3%, 2.4%, 2.3% and 2.0% respectively.
