The National "12th Five-Year" "863" Program project "Molecular Breeding and Variety Creation of Super-High-Yield Rice", led by the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, recently achieved a major breakthrough. The latest result of cooperative research by Yuan Longping's team and Genesis Seed Industry Co., Ltd., "Y Liangyou 900", in the 100-mu high-yield demonstration plot in Longhui County, Hunan Province, was measured on site by an expert group headed by Academician Xie Hua'an, and the average yield per mu reached 1006.1 kg, realizing for the first time the goal of a 100-mu plot of super rice exceeding 1,000 kg.
