Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, October 16 (Reporter Guo Aimin) According to monitoring by the Xinhua News Agency national agricultural and sideline products and agricultural input price quotation system, compared with the previous day, on October 16, beef and mutton prices fell; edible oil prices were mainly lower; aquatic product prices were stable with some increases; vegetables, fruits, pork, poultry and egg prices fluctuated slightly; finished grain and dairy prices were basically stable.
Among the 21 vegetables monitored, 9 fell in price, 5 rose in price, and 7 were flat; ordinary fresh eggs were flat in price, and white-strip chicken fell 0.1%; pork hindquarter tip meat was flat in price, and pork belly fell 0.2%; beef shank meat, beef brisket, boneless fresh mutton, and bone-in fresh mutton fell in price, with declines all not exceeding 0.1%; peanut blended oil, soybean blended oil, pure peanut oil, pure rapeseed oil, and pure soybean oil fell in price, while pure sunflower seed oil rose in price, with fluctuation ranges all not exceeding 0.3%; ponkan and oranges rose 1.1% and 0.7% respectively, snowflake pears and Fuji apples fell 0.5% and 0.2% respectively, and ya pears and bananas were both flat in price.
Monitoring data show that since late August, the national price of Fuji apples has fallen noticeably. Compared with August 24, on October 16, the national price of Fuji apples fell 14.0%. By region, more than 90 percent of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities saw Fuji apple prices fall. Among them, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Ningxia, and Xinjiang had the largest declines, all exceeding 20 percent.

Monitoring data show that since late August, the national price of Fuji apples has fallen noticeably. Compared with August 24, on October 16, the national price of Fuji apples fell 14.0%.
