The 12th China International Agricultural Trade Fair will be held in Qingdao, Shandong

         The reporter learned from the Ministry of Agriculture that the 12th China International Agricultural Trade Fair and the 3rd Shandong Agricultural Trade Fair will be held from October 25 to 28 at the Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shandong Province. The total exhibition area of this Agricultural Trade Fair is more than 60,000 sq m, of which the indoor exhibition area is 56,000 sq m, the outdoor agricultural machinery exhibition area is about 4000 sq m, and more than 2000 domestic and overseas enterprises are participating in the exhibition.

This Agricultural Trade Fair continues to uphold the exhibition purpose of “displaying achievements, promoting exchanges, and facilitating trade” and the exhibition principle of “quality products, openness, and pragmatism”, with the theme of “deepening rural reform, developing modern agriculture”, and promotes the construction of the Agricultural Trade Fair toward “specialization, market orientation, and branding”.

The participating enterprises are mainly national-level and provincial-level key leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization, and the exhibited products have obtained pollution-free agricultural product certification, green food certification, and organic agricultural product certification. In addition, there are large and medium-sized agricultural product export enterprises, foreign-funded and joint-venture enterprises, well-known domestic and overseas enterprises, and small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises with good development prospects.

According to Zhang Hecheng, Director of the Market and Economic Information Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of the 12th Agricultural Trade Fair: compared with previous Agricultural Trade Fairs, this Agricultural Trade Fair has four prominent features:

First, it is more prominently modernized. This Agricultural Trade Fair has set up an agricultural informatization exhibition area and will hold an agricultural informatization summit forum, which will focus on displaying the achievements of agricultural informatization construction, promoting the comprehensive integration of informatization and agricultural modernization, and enhancing the capacity and level of agricultural informatization development. Second, it is more prominently market-oriented. This Agricultural Trade Fair attempts market-oriented exhibition organization for the first time, and the aquatic products, tea, and agricultural machinery exhibition areas are all organized through market-oriented exhibition organization. It also for the first time adds on-site sales to the exhibition group areas, combining agricultural product sales with on-site display and negotiation. Third, it is more prominently specialized. This Agricultural Trade Fair has a total of 40 exhibition groups participating, including 33 provincial-level exhibition groups (including Taiwan, China and the Xinjiang Corps) and 7 specialized exhibition groups, including international exhibition groups, agricultural informatization, veterinary supplies and veterinary drugs, tea, agricultural cultural heritage, aquatic products, and agricultural machinery. Fourth, it is more prominently branded. The organizing committee has further strengthened the selection work for exhibited products, revised and improved the selection measures for exhibited products, earnestly organized the gold award selection activity for exhibited products, increased the publicity and promotion of gold award products, and promoted the improvement of agricultural product quality and the production and circulation of high-quality agricultural products.

This Agricultural Trade Fair is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and the People's Government of Shandong Province, co-organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and undertaken by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government, the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture, the National Agricultural Exhibition Center, the China Agricultural Exhibition Association, and the Agricultural Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
