Changes in the National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index on October 30, 2014

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on October 30 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 196.66, up 0.36 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 196.54, up 0.42 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural wholesale market was 19.49 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 170.01), down 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.51 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton 55.01 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 10.46 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.41 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.30 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 167.15), down 0.9% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.49 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.11 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.04 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.12 yuan/kg, down 1.1% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.64 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties in the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market under key monitoring, compared with yesterday, the top five price increases were: watermelon, eggplant, Kyoho grape, carrot and cucumber, with increases of 2.6%, 2.4%, 1.9%, 1.8% and 1.2% respectively; the top five price decreases were: lettuce, spinach, celtuce, Chinese chives and cauliflower, with decreases of 2.7%, 2.6%, 2.3%, 2.2% and 2.0% respectively.
