Nationwide subsoiling and land preparation by agricultural machinery reaches 117 million mu

As of now, regions such as Northeast and North China have put 188,000 large-horsepower tractors and subsoilers (units) into operation, and have completed 75.6 million mu of autumn subsoiling. Adding the 41.71 million mu of subsoiling completed nationwide this spring, the country has cumulatively completed 117 million mu of agricultural machinery subsoiling and land preparation this year. At present, Shandong, Anhui and other places have completed their predetermined annual agricultural machinery subsoiling targets, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Henan and other provinces have exceeded 90 percent, and Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and other provinces have exceeded 70 percent. It is expected that by mid-November, agricultural machinery subsoiling and land preparation operations in northern regions will basically come to an end.

In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural machinery departments in relevant provinces have adopted effective measures to advance subsoiling and land preparation. Heilongjiang Province has adopted an open-ended subsidy approach: as long as subsoiling operation standards are met within the rotational tillage plan area, one mu of subsidy is granted for each mu worked. Liaoning Province has implemented the "Agricultural Machinery Subsoiling and Land Preparation Operation Subsidy Project Contract," raising the subsidy standard for subsoiling and land preparation, which has now increased from the original 10 yuan per mu to 15 yuan.
