Rise and Fall of the National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index on November 13, 2014

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on November 13 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 196.58, up 0.91 points from yesterday, of which the “Basket of Vegetables” Product Wholesale Price Index was 196.68, up 1.11 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural wholesale market was 19.36 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 169.10), up 0.4% from yesterday;

Beef 54.24 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton 53.73 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Eggs 10.36 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.05 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.36 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 171.68), up 0.6% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 5.59 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.96 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.16 yuan/kg, up 1.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.00 yuan/kg, up 1.6% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.66 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring in the domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale market, the top five in price increase compared with yesterday were: cabbage, eggplant, yardlong bean, carrot and zucchini, with increases of 4.3%, 3.6%, 3.1%, 2.5% and 2.3% respectively; the top five in price decrease were: pineapple, celtuce, oyster mushroom, celery and Chinese chives, with decreases of 2.7%, 2.1%, 2.0%, 2.0% and 1.7% respectively.
