New technology breaks 31-year-old peanut high-yield record
Recently learned from the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences that the peanut single-seed precision sowing technology system created by the academy's peanut cultivation team has achieved good results in high-yield research and demonstration promotion across the country.
In September this year, the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences invited experts to successively conduct actual harvest acceptance checks on 3 spring peanut single-seed precision sowing technology high-yield research fields in Shandong (each site was 4 mu), and the yield per mu all exceeded 650 kg. Among them, the research field in Banquan Town, Junan County reached a yield of 752.6 kg per mu, breaking the national peanut high-yield record that had been held for 31 years.
In this high-yield research, researchers took peanut single-seed precision sowing as the core, summarized years of continuous high-yield research experience, selected the excellent peanut variety "Huayu 22" peanut, and followed the approach of "optimizing planting density, establishing a reasonable population, and increasing total pods per mu and 100-pod weight on the basis of fully giving play to individual plant productivity," adopting measures such as "fertilizing the soil, ensuring full stands with one sowing, timely chemical control to prevent excessive vegetative growth, integrated management to prevent premature senescence, and timely delayed harvest."
This technology effectively overcomes prominent problems in traditional peanut planting such as "large seeding rate, high cost, prominent contradiction between population and individual under high-yield conditions, and susceptibility to premature senescence and lodging," and has broad application prospects nationwide.
