In recent days, at Plot No. 2 of the Fourth Operations Station of the First Management District of Keshan Farm in the Heilongjiang Reclamation Area, workers have been drilling wells and installing pipes. This is one scene of the farm renovating low- and medium-yield farmland to help farmers increase income.

In recent years, to increase grain output and raise workers' income, the farm has continuously intensified farmland renovation through the implementation of comprehensive agricultural development projects, raising 95.9 million yuan through central government funds and the farm's self-raised funds to carry out comprehensive renovation of nine project areas, including the Sixth Operations Station and the Thirteenth Operations Station. A total of 76,000 mu of low- and medium-yield farmland was renovated, 90 electromechanical wells were newly drilled, 69 km of power transmission lines were installed, drip irrigation was installed on 16,500 mu, and 34 sets of sprinkler irrigation machines were purchased; 5 water-crossing road surfaces were built; a new cement drying yard of 89,000 sq m and a seed storage warehouse of 3,600 sq m were built; 24 km of field roads were newly built; 6 agricultural demonstration and extension items, including potato late blight control technology, were carried out, with 2,600 person-times of technical training.

It is understood that the advancement and implementation of comprehensive agricultural development projects has driven crop yields to increase year by year. For corn alone, the yield increased by 150 kg per mu compared with last year, which can increase workers' income by 240 yuan.
