On November 29, the Dalian Commodity Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “DCE”) conducted the first full-market trading test of the corn starch futures contract. The test process went smoothly and all functional points displayed normally, comprehensively verifying the safety and effectiveness of the trading system.

This test retained existing varieties and added the already-approved new variety corn starch, whose contract code is “cs” (on that day, corn starch futures test bilateral trading volume was 1.29 million lots, and bilateral total open interest was 9.95 million lots). According to reports, 158 member firms participated in the test that day, with more than 300 logged-in seats. Test participants included member floor representatives, personnel from the remote trading system and settlement system, as well as market data providers. During the test, member firm trading personnel completed testing of various functions including login, opening positions, closing positions, whether trading data was correct, order placement feedback speed, trade confirmation feedback speed, real-time market data, reserve order entrustment, and fund changes.

Personnel involved in organizing the DCE system test stated that in this corn starch futures trading simulation test, members participated actively with high enthusiasm. From both a business and technical perspective, it not only verified the operation of the trading technology system but also familiarized participants with the trading rules of the variety. Both the test process and results were satisfactory, and trading and settlement were normal.

Market observers stated that with the smooth progress of the system testing work, it indicates that the listing of corn starch already has technical and business operational process guarantees, and the listing time of corn starch futures may not be far off.
