The issues of agriculture, rural areas and farmers remain the key focus and difficulty in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects

Practitioners in China's "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" sector, as well as people from all walks of life who follow and support the development of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers," recently gathered at the Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Industries Demonstration Zone to attend the "China Agricultural Investment Matchmaking Conference and the China Moderately Prosperous Village Visits Shaanxi (Yangling)" event, and around the theme of "coordinated development with the Silk Road Economic Belt," jointly discussed issues of agricultural and rural development. Attendees said that the "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" issue remains the key focus and difficulty in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

Experts at the meeting pointed out that for China to be strong, agriculture must be strong; for China to be beautiful, rural areas must be beautiful; for China to be prosperous, farmers must be prosperous. To realize the "Chinese Dream," the cause of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" is the key and the support. However, at present, China's urban and rural regional development is unbalanced, the agricultural population accounts for the majority, the agricultural foundation is weak, and rural development lags behind. The "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" issue remains the key focus and difficulty in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

This conference and event aimed to take the national "Belt and Road" strategy as a new starting point, jointly build a matchmaking platform for capital, projects, technology, talent, information and markets targeting the "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" issue, support and guide social capital and modern production factors to flow into the agricultural industry, and promote resource integration and efficient use.

At this China Agricultural Investment Matchmaking Conference, the eighth "China Top Ten Moderately Prosperous Villages" were also announced. The Yangling Demonstration Zone was established in 1997, and over 17 years it has achieved a large number of agricultural scientific and technological achievements in fields such as crop variety breeding, water-saving technology in arid areas, and agricultural biotechnology.
