How to identify the stability of unusual flowers

How to identify the stability of unusual flowers Any flower in which one part, several parts, or even all of the floral parts differ from the norm in number or form is considered an unusual flower. Orchid collectors have selected many unusual flowers from wild-collected orchids, yet unusual flowers with stable traits and good floral symmetry are extremely rare. So how do you identify the stability of unusual flowers? 1. In any unusual flower with stable traits, the column (gynostemium) is certain to be deformed. As the saying goes, only when the heart changes does the form change. The column deforms in various ways: for example, the column of a "column butterfly" becomes slender, round and slightly elongated, commonly called a "thread"; the fragrant column, in superior butterfly-type flowers, deforms into a thick, hard, small round tongue. In chrysanthemum-petal unusual flowers, the column disappears and turns into masculinized fine, fragmented petals. In peony-shaped unusual flowers, the column deforms into a lip petal. In lion-shaped unusual flowers, the column becomes multiplied. People classify unusual flowers with deformed columns into three major categories: column-less unusual flowers, multi-column unusual flowers, and column-aberrant unusual flowers. 2. If a Chinese orchid unusual flower has an increased number of column feet, its stability is better. The column feet on the pedicel or flower stalk increase in number and resemble bamboo. On each column foot, floral envelopes are borne, forming flowers at every node and flowers within flowers. People give this flower the elegant name "jade tree-shaped unusual flower." 3. Orchids are monocotyledons, and the floral envelope count of Chinese orchid flowers is always a multiple of 3; this is their characteristic. In an unusual flower with good symmetry and good stability, no matter how much the floral envelope count increases, it must be a multiple of 3. Otherwise, although the flower is unusual, the column is deformed, and the column feet have increased, it is still difficult to fix the traits. Though unusual, it is highly variable, and people call it a variable unusual flower. If an unusual flower lacks all three of the above points, it is an extremely unstable, fleeting oddity among Chinese orchids.
